Hi! I want to study Italian in Florence this summer (the month of July) for probably 4 weeks. I've been to Florence before. I've done extensive research and have narrowed it down to two schools:
Instituto Michelangelo Instituto Italiano
Has anyone here studied at either? I am interested in location, quality of facilities and student life. I am 18, so I want to meet students my age (18-24ish). Please post here or e-mail me! Thanks!
hey i studied at instituto italiano last summer for 4 weeks. i really liked it. its really close to duomo and the classrooms have a beautiful view. the class sizes were pretty small as well. the school organized lots of things to do around the city like tours and hikes and stuff. they were kinda boring. every friday they showed italian movies. most of the people in my class were pretty old. i was 18 and the youngest in my class. i was in beginner but i think in the higher levels there was more young people. overall i had an awesome time. i hope that helps. if you have any more questions just ask me. laura
I can really reccomend Istituto Michelangelo!! I have been there last summer as well for 4 weeks. It is nicely located in the centre and the school is very well organised. There are a lot of young people. I was 18 and there were a lot people of my age. My classmates came from all over the world. Mexico, US, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Israel, Turkey, Spain , France etc etc and of course Holland (I am hihi). My teacher Elena was really great! Her lessons were so nice and she is so friendly. The school is in a nice old palazzo. My appartment was really close to the school. Also very nice.
So I would go for Istituto Michelangelo! Ciao! Sarah
I do not know of these two schools but I can highly recommend a school called Koine. The way they teach makes you learn so quickly! I have attended their schools in Lucca and Orbetello and had nothing but 100% positive experiences with them. Great teachers, great program, great international group of students who attend it! Do yourself a favor and choose them!! Buon viaggio! Noele
